Ride1Up is showing-off its latest electric road bike dubbed the CF Racer1, a new rig the blends both on-road and off-road capabilities for sub-$2500 price tag.
Indeed, the CF Racer1 comes equipped with a SRAM Rival 1×11 groupset and a full carbon frameset for a paltry $2,950.00, features one would expect to find on a bike costing 4-times the price.
The CF Racer1 gets its assistance from a robust 250-W Bafang rear-hub motor that’s capable of putting out 42 Nm (31 lb.ft) of torque, providing pedal-assist up to 28 mph (45 km/h), while the downtube mounted Samsung battery boasts 252Wh, enough juice to cover between 16 and 40 miles (25-64 km) of per-charge. There’s also a VeloFox color display mounted in the center of the handlebar for quick status checks, including real-time wattage output.
Elsewhere, the CF Racer1 rolls on double-wall aluminum rims shod with 700x32c Schwalbe E-One tires for the road model, while the gravel variant switches to beefier 700x40c Continental Terra Trail Shieldwall rubber, with stopping power courtesy of Sram hydraulic disc brakes equipped with 160mm rotors.
The CF Racer1 is available for pre-order, offering early buyers a $100 discount, with accessories such as a rear rack and panniers, a frame-mounted bottle battery also on offer.
