Selle Repente NOVA 2.0 is the First 100% Recyclable Saddle

Selle Repente’s latest iteration of its NOVA saddle claims to be 100% recyclable, the first such perch that can boast this level of eco-consciousness.

“After exploring new frontiers of sustainability with the first Nova, we’ve taken its innovation even further with Nova 2.0, a saddle that sets unprecedented standards in eco-conscious performance,” says Repente.

What makes the Nova 2.0 so eco-friendly?

The NOVA 2.0 is glue-free thanks to a single material that eliminates the need for adhesives and surface coatings, streamlining production into a single step. As a result, manufacturing time and costs are greatly reduced, thus lowering environmental impact. Also, the lack of fixatives and chemicals makes the saddle fully recyclable. Moreover, the saddle is made entirely in Italy, underscoring Repente’s commitment to a local and sustainable supply chain.

Additionally, the streamlining of manufacturing also brings the cost down significantly, in which case the Aeron version of the NOVA 2.0 with chromoly rails sells for €69, or a paltry €59 for the STA that’s fitted with with steel rails.
