State Bicycle Co Launches Updated 4130 All-Road Gravel Bike

State Bicycle Co has launched an updated version of its popular 4130 All-Road gravel bike, featuring a redesigned frame along with an optional Monster carbon fork, as well as upgraded drivetrains and brakes. The new bike also sees future-proof UDH compatibility, semi-internal cable routing for a sleeker, cleaner look and easier maintenance, along with the option for a dropper seatpost for tackling descents with confidence.

“This isn’t a simple refresh—it’s a transformation. The frame, fork, wheels, drivetrain and brakes have all been upgraded to deliver more capability and performance than ever before, making this the most versatile and value-packed gravel bike in its class,” boasts the Arizona-based brand.

Elsewhere, the 4130 All-Road is treated to more mounting options, including a top tube mount for a bento box and a third bottle cage mount under the downtube, while frame clearance has been tweaked to accommodate tires up a hefty 55mm in 700c, or 2.4” tires in 650b.

However, the overhaul wouldn’t be complete without upgraded wheels, which feature wider rims with a 23mm internal width for 700c and 25mm for 650b that are laced with a beefier spoke count of 32, along with new hubs that are fitted with four sealed bearings instead of two. Moreover, for riders who love to customize, State continues to offer its second wheelset bundle, so you can easily swap between 700c and 650b setups for a paltry upcharge of just $299.99, which includes tires, tubes, rotors and a cassette.

Lastly, the 4130 All-Road also gets a new 12-speed drivetrain, complete with a direct-mount 40T chainring that’s paired with an 11-46T cassette, giving you the range you need for everything from steep climbs to fast descents. Also, for riders who want even more range, State offers a “mullet” upgrade to an 11-50T cassette, which requires no derailleur swap, while braking comes courtesy of cable-actuated hydraulic brakes in both drop and flat bar set-ups.

The 4130 All-Road is available in a number of builds, spanning State’s own branded 12-speed drivetrain for $899.99, to top-tier models that are equipped with SRAM APEX XPLR with 11-44T gearing or an APEX AXS “mullet” setup with 11-50T gearing, with prices starting at $1899.99 and $1999.99, respectively.
