Velobike Innovations has unveiled its latest cutting-edge track bike dubbed the Altias Fusion System, which the New Zealand brand says “revolutionizes the balance between modularization and optimization with a single design solution.”
“The Altias Fusion System rethinks the traditional modular design of track bikes. Historically, track bikes have relied on universally interchangeable components such as wheels, handlebars, cranksets, etc, that ensure compatibility across brands. While this modularity is great for accessibility, it often sacrifices optimization. The Altias strikes a unique balance between modularization and optimization, maintaining compatibility with existing standards, while introducing components specifically designed to work seamlessly together for maximum performance. This approach allows for performance tailored solutions for both specific events and individual riders,” explains Velobike.
Unlike traditional track bikes designed with a “one design suits all” mentality, the Altias Fusion System adapts to the demands of specific sprint events. From flying 200m time trials to Match sprint and Keirins, the bike offers interchangeable forks, cockpits and aero components in the future, to optimize airflow and performance under different conditions, allowing riders to achieve peak performance with “event-specific modularity”.

The Altias Fusion prioritizes front-center geometry, focusing on achieving the maximum legal positioning under UCI regulations. With four frame sizes (S, M, L, XL), the Fusion ensures fit and performance for a broad spectrum of track sprinters. Size large will be available from October, with other sizes available from early 2026.

With 85%-90% of drag coming from the rider, the Altias Fusion integrates athlete-specific modularity to address this challenge.
