Vvolt has introduced its latest eBike called the Alpha II, a pedelec that the Oregon-based company says is an “electric bike designed for those seeking enjoyment without excessive complexity.”
“Since our inception, we have focused on designing and building products that solve human transportation challenges through electric mobility, and the Alpha II sets a new standard in the brand’s vision for comfortable and fun e-transportation,” adds Vvolt.
The Alpha II features a near zero-maintenance Gates Carbon Drive belt drive system, powerful Shimano hydraulic disc brakes and an integrated removable battery to make riding and recharging a breeze, offering five modes of responsive pedal assistance.
At 44 lbs, the Alpha II is one of the lightest e-bikes on the market thanks to a selection of high-quality components and the overall design crafted by the Vvolt team such as an integrated, UL2771-certified 375Wh battery that can provide 15 to 40 miles of real-world range, depending on terrain, assist level and other factors.
“We’re excited about all of our eBikes, but the Alpha II is extra special as it represents the culmination of huge amounts of work from the Vvolt team and is a great representation of our vision for e-mobility: lightweight and low maintenance, super fun to ride and an all around pleasure for both commuting and rides for the sake of rides, and extremely versatile,” said Kyle Ranson, CEO and Founder of Vvolt. “Alpha II offers amazing value, with premium components and a build that will last for years. It’s designed to get more people out on bikes for fun, commuting and errands.”
Alpha II comes in Black Pearl or Reef colorways, which sells for $1699.
Small-size bikes are shipping now, followed by Mediums in early April and Larges in mid-May.
