Wahoo has partnered with Fizik on its latest KICKR BIKE PRO indoor, featuring select touch-points from the Italian brand such as its Fizik Aliante R5 saddle and Solocush bar tape that’s wrapped on a new ergonomic handlebar that’s “specifically designed for indoor riding”.
Accoutrements aside, the new KICKR BIKE PRO now features redesigned ergonomic shifters that help facilitate easy access to Zwift in-app features, along with upgraded connectivity via Wi-Fi or Wahoo’s own “direct connect” wired standard, as well as Bluetooth and ANT+ capabilities.
Beyond the upgraded shifters and contact points, the basic spec of the KICKR BIKE PRO is the same as the standard KICKR BIKE. This includes a maximum power output of 2,500 watts, a claimed power accuracy rating of +/- 1 per cent and the ability to simulate gradients from -15 to 20%.
The KICKR BIKE PRO is priced at $3,999.99.
Elsewhere, Wahoo has updated its KICKR CORE 2, treating it to upgraded legs and additional connectivity options that includes Wi-Fi, along with the choice of either the Zwift Cog and Click or 11-speed cassette for the same price.
Wahoo has also paired this update with the launch of the brand new KICKR Race Mode, which Wahoo claims delivers near-instantaneous power response, giving riders more control over their Zwift avatar and online riding experience. Moreover, this connectivity improvement update extends to data collection, introducing a new “KICKR BRIDGE” that streams heart rate monitor data directly through the trainer app, eliminating the need for additional sensor platforms.
Additionally, the Zwift Ride bike now comes with the all-new Wahoo KICKR CORE 2 as standard.
The new Wahoo KICKR CORE 2 sells for $550, while new KICKR CORE 2 paired with Zwift’s Ride indoor bike will set you back $1300.
