THE DOUBLE DIAMOND
I was hanging out with some "steel junkies" over the weekend, and somehow the conversation turned to the topic of "old world" Italian steel frames that use to be made in Canada . I must admit, it’s been quite a few years since I last visited this topic, but as I recall the big names were mainly; Cramerotti, Marinoni and Mondonico. Or, as I always liked to call them – . In fact, many use to refer to their Marinoni as their "Macaroni’. It seems that a couple of them continued building into the 2000’s, even adding aluminum and carbon to their repertoire. In fact, it looks like Marinoni continues to offer steel frames . In any case, whatever happened to these Italian ex-patriots ?
