Sony has entered the brigade of "rubber-clad" smart watches with its new SmartWatch 3.
However, above and beyond the usual GPS enabled, fitness tracking features, to include the ability to host a variety of available apps, unlike the competition, the SmartWatch 3 has its own GPS sensor, that when used in conjunction with the iFit Outside Android Wear app, offers basic ride-tracking information without the need of a smartphone.
Indeed, while the SmartWatch 3 lacks the depth of most dedicated GPS cycling computers, it does allow cyclists the opportunity to analyze ride data, without the need of stuffing a smartphone in their jersey.
The watch is available directly from Sony for $250.
