If you’re a cyclist who battles the dreaded “chafe”, Biemme has launched a new ceramic Lycra pad that’s designed to eliminate moisture and friction like no other.
Incorporated into their Garun bib short, the new three-dimensional pad features the latest application of ceramic coating, which is designed to not only absorb moisture and vibration, but also acts to separate the areas of the pad which touch the skin and saddle, by allowing the material to slide against each other – rather than on at the rider’s skin.
However, according to Biemme, this feature does not detract from the pad’s ability to retain its shape and composure – even over the longest rides.

Ceramic Lycra: This particular fabric is made with the application of a ceramic coating that improves the abrasion resistance. It also improves the riding position on the saddle of the cyclist. The blood circulation is also increased to improve sport performance. Outsider pad: A padding has been applied to the extremities of the pad to avoid any contact of seams or bends to the skin. Performance braces: The performance straps consist of 2 different types of elastic net to guarrantee the maximum breathability and fit. Inner Pad: The inner padshell of the bibshort is made of a bi-elastic, antibacterial and breathable fabric without heat-sealing in order to obtain a skin effect when in contact with the body. Leg elastic band: This elastic band is very stretchable and offers a maximum comfort thanks to its internal silicone dots.
