Forgoing watts gained by pedaling in favor of power generated from batteries seems to be the trajectory most bikes are headed on these days, especially ones aimed at the urban cycling segment.
Not surpassingly, Canyon has launched a new e-bike with the goal of motivating cyclists who are less inclined to navigate the cityscape using their legs with a new electric-assisted hybrid model (Canyon likes to use the word “fitness” instead of hybrid) called the Roadlite:ON.
The Roadlite:ON comprises three models, which feature a lightweight aluminum frame that’s equipped with a 250w removable Fazua’s Evation drive motor system.
Additionally, each model is equipped with a carbon fork, flat-mount hydraulic disc brakes, a wide-range of 1x MTB drivetrain options, 35mm Schwalbe G-One Allround tires, Canyon’s vibration-damping VCLS seatpost and the brand’s one-piece CP04 carbon fiber cockpit, for all but the cheapest model.
The Roadlite:ON is available in five sizes ranging from XS to XL, with the smallest bikes equipped with 650b wheels instead of 700c found on the larger sizes.
You can learn more about the new range of Roadlite:ON bikes by visiting Canyon’s website here.
