Cervélo’s P-Series Time Trial/Triathlon Bike Gets Updated

Having a mirror image likeness to its flagship P5 time trial bike, Cervélo has updated its P-series with a couple of new features such as a D-shaped fork steerer tube and round stem interface, allowing riders to choose whatever basebar and extensions they prefer, making adaptability easy when fit requirements require change.

Additionally, the P-series gets increased wheel and tire clearance, reduced aerodynamic drag, neater cable routing and Cervélo’s first internal frame storage that all add up to create the bike of choice for riders looking to make the fastest time blitz between T1 and T2.

All things considered, Cervélo claims the new P-Series frame is 5.9 grams lighter than the outgoing model, while the new Reserve 52/63 wheels shod with 29mm Vittoria tires result in a 30-gram weight savings, as well as 3.5-watt advantage.

The P-series frameset without wheels starts at $3000, while complete bikes fitted with either a Shimano 105 mechanical groupset or Ultegra Di2 fetch $3950 and $7300, respectively.

Oh, and for those wishing to dial up the styling quotient, as evidenced, the P-series is available in a new Paris green colorway that pays homage to French impressionist painters Georges Seurat and Claude Monet.
