For the first time in nearly three years, Chrome Industries is back with a new footwear collection that builds upon the brand’s 12 years of crafting cycling shoes that are aimed at the urban cyclist.
Indeed, partnering with legendary tire manufacturer Panaracer, Chrome Industries delivers style-conscious, technical footwear options as cycling continues to boom amongst the urban cycling segment.
The new collection is equipped with a signature Panaracer rubber outsole for ride-tested grip and durability, which features key updates like improved weatherproofing, added reflective hits for night visibility and fresh pops of color for Fall.
Additionally, the collection also includes the highly anticipated revival of the fan-favorite Chrome Pro Series – SPD compatible cycling shoes that feature the brand’s Flexplate technology for both pedal power when on the bike and walking/running comfort when off.
“Our new footwear collection is a hybrid of style and functionality, made from hydrophobic materials, enhanced durability and protection, and Chrome’s PowerPlate™ Propulsion technology – a rigid nylon shank, fit between the insole and outsole, designed to deliver more power to each pedal stroke, increase arch support, reduce foot fatigue on longer rides and soften footfalls at the heel,” boasts Chrome Industries.
“We are really excited about the revamp of our new Pedal Series. We have had a lot of feedback over the years to bring back SPD compatible footwear, and these shoes are just as versatile on the bike as they are off. We built these weather-resistant, extremely durable and extra grippy thanks to the signature Panaracer outsole,” adds Matt Sourapas, Head of Footwear Design.
