To celebrate its fifth year of collaboration with Team Colpack Ballan CSB, Cinelli has created a limited edition version of its flagship Pressure frameset, boasting a “camouflage” effect color scheme that’s hand painted in Italy.
“I got the idea from another sport that is very close to my heart: windsurfing,” says Marco Panzerini, Cinelli’s graphic designer and art director. “In windsurfing certain brands will paint their freestyle boards only with primer to keep things light and then lightly sand it to allude to the artisanal process of hand-shaping the board, which is not visible in the final product. What I’m so excited and happy about is that I took this process, which is something almost secondary in another product and transformed into the center of attention, and did it before anyone else!”
Additionally, since the team decals are added after the final sanding and gloss clearcoat, each frame remains an entirely unique artisanal piece, not to mention 4% lighter than the standard production painted frames.
The Pressure is Cinelli’s flagship racing frame, interpreting the competitive rider’s need for full integration and aerodynamics through the lens of essential Italian design. The result is a lightweight high-modulus carbon fiber frame with extremely lively and aggressive road handling whose lay-up has been fine-tuned over a two-year period of testing with Team Colpack Ballan CSB.

The limited edition Team Colpack Ballan CSB Pressure is offered as a stand alone frameset, which comes equipped with Vision’s Metron 5D handlbar’s ACR system for $4,146.33.
