Now in its third generation, FFWD’s TYRO carbon wheelset gets wider and lighter for 2026, plus the Dutch brand’s latest N/LITE hubs. Better still, the price remains unchanged.
The new TYRO see both its internal and external widths increased to 23mm and 31mm, respectfully, keeping trend with the ever-increasing road and all-road tire applications by providing enough room to support rubber as wide as 45mm.
As mentioned, the new TYRO is treated to FFWD’s latest N/LITE hubs that spin on Sapim Sprint spokes, along with a revised shell design that sheds access material, while the internals comprise robust steel cartridge bearings and a ratchet-style engagement system that promises reliability and ease of service that’s compatible with Shimano HG, SRAM XDR, Campagnolo and Microspline freehub bodies.
Tipping the scales at respectable 1575 grams, a 100-gram savings over its predecessor, the new TYRO wheelset sells for €1.099,00.
