MyWhoosh has announced the launch of its newest community engagement initiative, the MyWhoosh Treasure Hunt. Designed to encourage exploration across MyWhoosh’s visually stunning virtual worlds, the monthly event offers riders a chance to win a share of a prize pool.
The first Treasure Hunt is scheduled for Saturday, January 10, 2026, at 1:00 PM GST. Unlike traditional competitive races, the Treasure Hunt feature on MyWhoosh is designed to reward riders for exploring the platform rather than racing through it. On event days, a treasure gate will be hidden on one route within one of MyWhoosh’s open worlds. Riders will have one hour from the announced start time to explore and find the treasure. When a rider passes through the treasure gate, it will trigger a “You Found the Treasure!” notification and secure their share of the rewards.
To ensure fair play and reward active community members, MyWhoosh has implemented specific qualification criteria. Participants must complete a minimum of 60km on the platform during the seven-day qualification period to be eligible. Additionally, riders must use a heart rate monitor and a smart turbo trainer to verify the integrity of their effort.
“We want to make indoor cycling more than just a workout—it should be an adventure,” said Matthew Smithson, Director of Esports and Game Operations at MyWhoosh. “The Treasure Hunt adds an element of mystery and reward that encourages our global community to explore every corner of our virtual environments.”
The treasure hunt will take place every month and unlock 1/12 of a bitcoin per event, with the monthly portion of the reward shared equally among all riders who:

Pass post-event verification
Winners will receive an email from MyWhoosh with details on how to claim the prize money.

Weekly Distance: Minimum 60km accumulated in the 7 days prior.
