The Dolomites are, without a doubt, one of the most awe-inspiring places to ride – a land of stunning landscapes, towering peaks, iconic passes, and breathtaking views, offering an unforgettable backdrop for any cycling adventure.
Now, picture adding Safa Brian, known for his fast-paced, thrilling videos that capture the sheer rush of riding. The result? An adrenaline-fueled film showcasing epic descents, impressive speed, and the trust that binds the crew.
“It’s kind of like a superpower being able to go this fast. If a lot of people could do what I do, I think they would,” Safa Brian.
“A lot of people just think we rock up and go hell for leather down the descents, but there’s actually quite a lot of preparation. Descending a lot means you have to climb a lot. So I know when I’m getting into really good shape, it means that my descending is going to be better than ever. There’s physical fitness, but mental is a huge part of descending. You have to be right on the line of peak confidence, and just one toe over the line and suddenly you’re in a rock wall.”
“It’s nice to have someone like Bucky, that you don’t have to worry about. As soon as we turn the cameras on and start rolling into a descent, I just forget he’s even there—never look back. You can’t be worried about him; you have to be worried for him by focusing 100% on what you’re doing because if I crash, he goes down with me. So, it’s just a good trust you need to have”.
“I think we’ve taken it to another level, and we’ve also brought it to a setting that’s really unique and amazing to be in, so I hope we can inspire people to maybe take a bucket-list trip out there like we did. And also, what I’ve been trying to do from the start is just get more people to see what we do, to see how beautiful it is, and what an amazing way it is to move through the world on a bicycle”.
