Northwave is targeting gravelers with the launch of its new Hammer Plus shoe, offering the requisite amount of flexibility and stiffness to handle the complex terrain of gravel cycling thanks to the Italian brand’s Jaws Evo sole that’s designed to “offer comfort without sacrificing foot support and protection, while also guaranteeing effective power transfer to the pedals” in conjunction with “an unprecedented level of walking comfort and efficiency in a shoe of this type”.
Additionally, Northwave offers a Wide Fit option, boasting “the Hammer Plus can now accommodate riders who need a generous fit”, while cleat positioning has also been enhanced courtesy of a larger sliding area.
The Hammer Plus is available in four colors, white, black, silver and green (Wide Fit version in black), which sells for $148.49.
There’s also a women’s specific model that’s available in black with an iridescent logo.
