The Italian company, Polini Motori, has unveiled a new dual-battery electric motor system that’s capable of providing a range of travel upwards of 260 miles (420 kilometers) on a single charge.
According to Polini, its 1000 Wh dual-battery system combined with their P3 mid-mount motor can be added to virtually any type of e-Bike, including road models.
The system weighs 2,850 grams, which includes a 250 watt motor that can produce a peak torque of 70Nm.
Polini says, the system was development at the request of numerous bike manufactures who were in search of a design that could easily retro-fit into a wide range of bike styles, especially the emerging road segment that requires a greater range of travel and power, while also limiting weight.
The system made its debut during this month’s Esposizione Internazionale Ciclo Motociclo e Accessori (EICMA) in Milan, which is already in production.
