Tom Zirbel (Optum-Kelly Benefit Strategies) and Rhea Shaw (BMW-Happy Tooth Dental) won the men’s and women’s Individual Time Trial at this year’s Redlands Bicycle Classic at Big Bear Lake, California yesterday.
Zirbel set the fastest time of 9:45, besting Chris Barton’s (KHS-Maxxis) previous mark that was set earlier in the race.
In the women’s race, Shaw set a mark that withstood challenges throughout the day.
Meanwhile, Jasmin Glaesser (Optum-Kelly Benefit Strategies) finished second, at 7.78 seconds behind Shaw. However, her performance in the ITT, netted first place in the overall general classification.
As result, Allie Dragoo (Twenty16-Sho-Air), now sits in second place, 3 seconds behind Glaesser.
