Ridley has jolted the aero bike segment with the launch of its latest E-Noah, offering more watts to cheat the wind courtesy of a TQ HPR 40 electric drive unit and an integrated HPR 40 battery that all-but disappear behind the down tube and bottom bracket junction, delivering 200W of power and 40Nm of torque from a super light 2.65 pound motor.
The result is, an electric aero bike that tips the scales at 24.25 pounds, an impressive feat given the E-Noah comes close to rivaling some of the very lightest e-road bikes that are more squarely aimed at “climbing”.
Things are further tidied-up by discreet LEDs that are located in the bar ends, while the controls are neatly concealed underneath the bar tape, eliminating the need unsightly for top tube displays or screens.
Another notable difference between the E-Noah and its standard counterpart, is a slightly tweaked geometry; namely, head tube and seat tube angles that are a tad more relaxed, as well as a bit longer wheel base across all sizes. Otherwise, everything else remains the same.
The E-Noah is currently offered in two build options, a Shimano 105 Di2 equipped model that sells for roughly $8,3330.00, and a more premium version that’s treated to a Shimano Ultegra Di2 groupset that fetches around $10,675.00.
