To the delight of gravelers and bikepackers everywhere, RockShox has launched its latest gravel-specific Rudy XL fork, offering up to 60mm of tunable travel with enough clearance to accommodate tire up to a hefty 29 x 2.25 inches.
Two years in the making, the new Rudy XL is offered in two guises, the standard XL and XL Ultimate, the difference lying in the choice of dampers. While both offer 50mm or 60mm travel options and mudguard compatibility, the XL Ultimate is treated to a new electric red colorway and a Charger Race Day 2 Damper.
Additionally, it also features a Solo Air spring, which is tuned for shorter travel.
In the case of the Rudy XL, it’s equipped with a cartridge rebound-only damper rather than the Charger Race Day 2, nor the switchable lockout system that its more expensive counterpart has.
The Rudy XL Ultimate sells for $929.00, with pricing for the XL to be announced.
The dedicated mudguard is available separately for $25.00.
