Roval has entered the component ring with the introduction of its newest cockpit pieces that are aimed at roadies, gravel cyclists and mountain bikers alike.
Fast on the heels of its latest Alpinist CLX wheelset, Roval is introducing its new feather weight Alpinist one-piece handlebar/stem and seatpost.
For the gravel grinder, Roval has also unveiled its new Terra seatpost that offers 18mm of ride-smoothing performance when the road turns rough.
Additionally, for aggressive trail and enduro riders, Roval has introduced its Traverse handlebar that’s available in a full 800mm width, which features a 25mm clamp diameter and tips the scales at a scant 227 grams.
Contact points are essential to performance, comfort and speed extend beyond the wheels and frame itself. The Alpinist cockpit incorporates lessons from the advanced carbon work Roval did with the Alpinist Wheelset, delivering great ride feel and feathery weight.
The Alpinist seatpost is another complement to the best in class CLX series wheels, matching a super-low weight to an excellent blend of stiffness and damping properties to deliver power and absorb undue vibration at the same time.
“Designed to be used as a complete system, the Alpinist family of products operate in harmony – shaving weight, increasing speed and stiffness. Alpinist is made for the mountains, and the new Alpinist cockpit is a class-leading contender for low weight, but this is only part of the Alpinist experience,” says Roval.

Seatpost:
Similar to the characteristics of the Terra CLX and CLX EVO wheelsets, the Terra seatpost is designed to excel on any sort of mixed-terrain ride, from rough chip seal to full-on jeep track. Roval engineers devised a layup that delivers up to 18mm of compliance while keeping the weight low, avoiding complex shapes and mechanical dampers to deliver the best gravel post possible at a race-ready weight.
“The Terra seatpost and wheelsets truly capture the spirit of gravel performance with road-like weight and trail-ready toughness,” says Roval.

“Built to handle the biggest descents and rowdiest lines without compromising on weight, the Traverse series is both ready for the EWS circuit and everyday trail shredding. The new Traverse bar is in harmony with the Traverse family ethos of delivering durability superior handling, all with minimal mass,” explains Roval.

more from Roval…
At Roval, our composites engineers are some of the best in the world. Up to now, their talents have been trained on our class-leading wheels as a means to improve the riding experience for discerning riders.
When we identified components beyond wheels that we felt we could make a difference, we turned our engineers loose on a new challenge: to develop components that truly elevate the ride.
These new components are the first fruits of our work, and we’re proud of the accomplishments of our team in building components that meet our motto of being True To Your Ride. Developed to exceed rider expectations on the trails and roads of every surface, this is just the beginning for us. We have the best R&D resources in the world and we’re taking full advantage of them to make the best carbon composite components we can.
For us at Roval, living up to “True To Your Ride” means that we’re making components that enhance the ride of any bike. Roval Components are not developed to meet the requirements of a specific bike or proprietary component system, but are fully compatible with the prevailing standards of our time. Beyond performance and compatibility, we design our components for serviceability. We’re riders too, and no one wants to fuss with strange fasteners or arcane cable routing. Down to the smallest details, we’re making your bike experience better.
