Santini and the French brand, K-Way, have partnered on new unisex jackets that were showcased at the Italian brand’s pop-up store in Paris this week, as well as K-Way’s boutiques in Paris, Turin, Milan and Rome.
Some meetings don’t happen by chance. In 1965, Pietro Santini founded Santini Cycling Wear, while in the same year, K-Way’s founder Léon-Claude Duhamel designed the first packable rain jacket. Both companies developed successfully over the years, albeit along different lines, but shared the same passion for sport and a focus on building functionality into every last detail. Today, their paths have finally crossed, resulting in the exclusive new Santini x K-Way partnership.
To celebrate, the brands have worked together on two revisable jackets inspired by K-Way’s iconic Claude line, but developed and honed to meet the needs of cyclists who use their bikes for sport, leisure, or commuting around the cityscape, offering a perfect mix of design and function.
The jackets feature K-Way’s wind and waterproof ripstop nylon on one side, along with Santini’s breathable, soft-touch wool/polyamide material on the other.
“This reversible jacket has been studied to be worn both on and off the bike. The outer shell providing protection against the wind and showers is made of the original water-resistant and wind -proof Kway featuring reflective details that guarantee greater visibility while riding in the dark hours and convenient side and chest pockets that make it perfect as a casual garment. While the inner face pays tribute to our road racing legacy, designed using the iconic colors of the K-Way tape and made of a polyamide-wool blend fabric, which is very light but at the same time warm and breathable,” boasts Santini.
Of course, the jackets feature K-Way’s instantly recognizable blue and orange colors with a yellow zipper, along with three rear pockets and reflective details for added visibility, while the center pocket in treated to a a suede label that celebrates the partnership.
The Santini x K-Way jackets are available in sizes ranging from XS to 4XL, which sell for €260.
