Santini is paying homage to the Champs Élysée with its latest Trionfo Kit, giving a nod to the glorious finish-line that caps the French Grand Tour in Paris each year.
“The kit that encapsulates the magic of the final stage of the Tour de France, the Trionfo kit is dedicated to Paris and the huge sense of celebration that engulfs the winner of the Grand Boucle as they are applauded towards the finish line and beyond. Every year, the riders are welcomed to the Champs Élysées finish line by a spectacular exhibition by La Patrouille de France, the French Air Force’s aerobatics team, which traces the blue, white and red of the French flag in the skies over the City of Light. Those colourful wakes left behind by the planes are now also the stars of the design of the Santini Trionfo jersey, featuring on both its front and back where they taper and fade just like the real thing,” says Santini.
The Trionfo Kit comprises a jersey, a base layer, bibshorts, gloves, a cap and socks, in a resplendent blue, red and white that lays the palette for the Arc de Triomphe motif.
The slim fitting jersey features a combination of micro-mesh fabrics with raw cut sleeves, while the base layer is made from breathable Avatar micro -mesh as well, creating an ultralight feel upon the skin.
For the bibshorts, Santini relies on Thunderbike Power compression fabric, complete with leg grippers and a GITevo gel core pad for maximum comfort, along with a coordinating cap, socks and gloves to round out the kit.
