Featuring a custom developed strain gage that precisely measures power through the structure of Campagnolo’s hollow carbon crankarm design, Stages has launched its latest Gen 3 power meters that are specifically designed to work with the Italian brand’s new 12-speed Record groupsets.
According to Stages, the new Campagnolo dedicated power meters required a complete redesign of their strain gauge technology, resulting in an almost seamless integration that wraps around the non-driveside crankarm – offering the same level of +/- 1.5% power accuracy and 2000 hour battery life as the company’s other models.
Furthermore, the power meters also feature Stage’s active temperature compensation, accelerometer-based cadence measurement and both Near Field Communication (NFC) and updated Bluetooth/ANT+ power data transmission – in lengths of 170mm, 172.5mm and 175mm.
The power meter for Super Record 12-speed sells for $950, while standard Record version fetches $800.
