Subaru VeloSwap Returns to Denver

I remember the VeloSwaps that took place in Hartford, Connecticut and the Wachusett Mountain Ski Resort in Princeton, Massachusetts back in the day. In fact, it was so long ago, Tyler Hamilton and Lance Armstrong were still friends. Why do I say that, because I had occasion to chat with Tyler, after I spotted him meandering around the show.  😎

Anyway, they were great events, and there’s since been void here in New england after they failed to organize again.

But, if you live in Denver, the Subaru VeloSwap returns this weekend.

About

The world’s largest consumer bicycle expo, Subaru VeloSwap returns to Denver’s National Western Complex on Saturday, October 24. The 27th annual event features deals on new and used bicycles and cycling equipment, as well as product sampling, interactive clinics, kid’s activities, and more.

“Subaru VeloSwap is a celebration of the cycling lifestyle, offering can’t-miss deals for cyclists in Denver for almost three decades,” said Reese Brown, event director. “It’s truly the ultimate bargain treasure hunt for cycling enthusiasts, where people can buy, sell, or trade gear, parts, or bikes.”

In addition to great deals, there are educational seminars, test rides, a $3,000 e-bike raffle, and more. Seminars include: “Fit, Position, Technique” – getting your bike to fit your body and riding style, “Virtual Cycling 101″ — this isn’t the stationary trainer we all love to hate, and “Dispelling the Myths about Electric Bikes” — learn the facts about electric bikes from a panel of experts.

Featuring more than 350 vendors and 130,000 square feet of booth space, the event provides a unique opportunity to buy, sell, and recycle new and used bicycles and gear. The 2015 Subaru VeloSwap will also showcase an expanded EcoVillage, New Product Showcase, product sampling, and family events. More than 10,000 visitors are expected to attend the event.

The event will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and advance tickets are available online and at all Front Range Performance Bike Shops. Booth space is still available for retailers and individuals looking to reach an active and targeted consumer base. For all inquiries, please contact Reese Brown.
