Vision Tech has spun up a revamped version of its SC 45 and 60 SL wheelsets, which now feature a wider 23mm internal rim in order to accommodate a larger range of tire options, as well as the brand’s new V-600 hub that offers faster engagement and smoother power transfer courtesy of its 54-tooth Power Ratchet System (PRS), the same internals found in Vision Tech’s more premium Metron series of wheels, albeit at a more affordable price.
Additionally, the PRS hub includes weatherproof sealing for use across various conditions and temperatures ranging from -10°C to +60°C, while both straight-pull and J-bend flanges in a 2:1 spoke lacing pattern are available so the wheels are compatible with Shimano, SRAM XDR, or Microspline free hubs. Moreover, each V-600 hub has a QR code laser-etched on the shell that links directly to an online spare parts manual.
The SC 45 and 60 SL wheelsets sell for $1,299 and $1,399, respectively.
