THE GREAT RACE
John Degenkolbw won the final European race of the season – the 2013 Paris-Tours classic – with a blistering sprint finish performance.
Today’s victory marked the sixth win of the season for the German rider – who beat Michael Morkov and Arnaud Demare by two bike lengths at the line.
The win closes a successful late season for Degenkolb – who won the Vattenfall Cyclassics in August, two stage victories in the Eurometropole Tour and the Paris-Bourges semi classic on Thursday.
