2013 Tour of Denmark Stage 2

By the 120 kilometer mark, Team Cult Energy, along with help from the Katusha Team, managed to reduce their gap to 1:30. And, by the time the main field hit the finishing circuit in Sønderborg, it had caught most of the escapees.

Brändle was the last man left off the front from the breakaway, however, he was caught on the second circuit of the finale by Rolf Broge, Jens Debusschere and Michael Mørkøv.

With 4 kilometers remaining, several Teams began to set-up their top sprinters.

Ultimately, it was Team Saxo-Tinkoff that successfully set-up their man Breschel – who finished ahead of Slovenian teammate Marko Kump and Moreno Hofland.

Cort Nielsen retained the yellow jersey, along with the distinction of the best young rider competition. Nikola Aistrup lead the points competition and Brändle was recognized as the most aggressive rider.

Lotto Belisol is currently the top ranked team.
