2014 Tour Méditerranéen Cycliste Professionnel Stage 3B

Following this morning’s road race, the individual time trial got underway in today’s Tour Méditerranéen, wherein Stepen Cummings of the BMC Racing Team displayed his prowess by laying down the fastest time.

The 32-year-old British rider coverage the hilly 18.2 kilometer course in a time of  24:27 – beating his rivals Riccardo Zoidl and Sylvain Chavanel.

As a result of today’s victory, Cummings moved up in the overall general classification to take over the race lead.

"It was a good time trial for me; I like these kinds of climbs that aren’t too steep," said Cummings. "It was a little bit technical but we looked at it last week, so I knew the course well."

The Tour Méditerranéen Cycliste Professionnel concludes on tomorrow with a 192.7 kilometer stage that finishes with a climb up the challenge ascent of Mont Faron.
