KindHuman to Launch UCI Pro Continental Team for 2017

The Toronto-based bike brand, KindHuman, announced its plans today, to launch a UCI registered Pro Continental team for 2017.

Company co-founder Adam Abramowicz said, the men’s and women’s squad would create a “sustainable platform for professional cycling.”

“The KindHuman Pro Cycling Project will be a collaborative project to further improve the quality of our bicycles while crafting a kinder culture to what has previously existed at the professional levels of our sport. Our mens and womens teams will provide us with in-depth feedback that will directly influence the development of our products. As ambassadors for not only our brand but for clean cycling, the team will expand on our mission – to Do What’s Right For Cycling,” Abramowicz said in a statement today.

Additionally, according to KindHuman, recently retired American pro, Adam Myerson, will serve as the team’s general manager.

“We’ve spent two years sponsoring Adam but nearly our entire careers following him as fans. When we set out to develop this team, there was no person more qualified to manage it,” Abramowicz said.

Furthermore, Matthew Erchull, the founder of the KindHuman-Pactimo amateur cycling team, will be joining the team as its business development director.

“We’ve accomplished a lot in a very short time at KindHuman Bicycles. Our bikes have won national championships, UCI events and were recently ridden to a team overall (victory) at the USA Crits Series. This is a natural progression for us. We are excited to share our bikes and our culture with fans at the highest level of the sport.”
