3T is dazzling gravel grinders with its latest XXX raw carbon finish, exposing the intricate carbon fiber details that goes into the making of the Italian brand’s Exploro RaceMax Italia gravel bike.
Aptly dubbed XXX, the crisscrossed carbon fiber pattern that’s created during the filament wound fabrication process, leaves behind an unadulterated finish, giving enthusiasts a glimpse into the inner workings of the frame’s construction.
Previous versions of the Exploro RaceMax Italia, utilized a split between a final layer of UD carbon fiber and paint to hide what some might view as a crude finish. However, the XXX now pulls back the curtains, exposing things worts and all.
“We are pleased to announce a new entry in our RaceMax Italia frame. The pattern formed by the crossing carbon fibers creates small X’s on the entire frame that will only be covered with transparent paint to protect the fibers, without hiding anything. This enhances the visibility of the production process while maintaining the exact same qualities as our other RaceMax Italia frames and bikes, that offer an excellent weight to stiffness ratio combined with flexibility in the areas where comfort is needed,” boasts 3T.
The new Exploro RaceMax Italia XXX is available only as a frameset for 4999€.
