Teams Announced for Women's Inaugural "La Course" Race

The Amaury Sport Organization announced the 20 teams that will take part in this year’s inaugural women’s "La Course" race.

The one-day women’s event will take place on the Champs-Élysées ahead of the arrival of the Tour de France.

The one-day race will take place ahead of the final stage of the Tour de France and is expected to attract the world’s best female cyclists. Riders will complete 13 laps, totaling 90 kilometers, on the famed Champs-Élysées. The race will utilize the TV and media already in place for the men’s event, which will be a huge boost to a sport that struggles to get sponsors.
