Tour of Norway 2014 Stages 1 & 2

Tour of Norway’s first stage in 2014 got the winner most had expected. Sondre Holst Enger (Sparebanken Sør) gave Kristoff a fight to the end.

– The team did a great job today. Marco Haller got me in perfect position. Sondre pushed all the way to the finish line. Luckily I managed to take him, said a clearly tired Kristoff to Norwegian TV2 after the finish.

– It was stressful due to the wind. I struggled, but suddenly I was in front with Paterski. It was even at the end, but I won so I’m happy. It does not matter how much you win by, said de Maar to Norwegian TV 2 after the stage.
