Adidas Targets Indoor Cycling with New “Indoor Shoe”

Adidas has targeted the indoor cycling segment with the launch of its latest cycling shoe aptly called the Indoor Shoe.

Not surprisingly, the Indoor Shoe features Adidas’ iconic three-stripe motif, designed around a lightweight, breathable upper with mesh inserts that’s aimed at providing optimal ventilation to meet the demands of indoor workouts.

Additionally, the Indoor Shoe’s sole has a three-bolt design that’s compatible with most road pedals, a nice departure from the typical SPD set-up found on a majority of indoor cycling specific shoes.

“The Indoor Shoe was created to offer accessible, aesthetically versatile footwear and apparel to a rapidly growing generation of new cyclists,” says Adidas.

“Consultations with cycling communities in London, Los Angeles and Germany highlighted that the culture of cycling is changing and showed a greater demand for versatile products that fit into their lives on and off the bike,” adds Adidas.

Other features that highlight the Indoor Shoe include a fiberglass reinforced nylon midsole plate that’s geared towards bolstering rigidity, along with a velcro strap closure.

The Indoor Shoes sells for £110, which is available in classic black with three white stripes, vivid pink with white accents and white with silver details in a wide range of sizes.
