Baumier is showing off its latest flagship B01 Allroad frame, the first 3D printed carbon and titanium frame that’s manufactured and assembled in Montreal, Canada.
“Utilizing both carbon and titanium provides riders with the lightweight, stiff performance of carbon paired perfectly with the strength and durability of Ti,” boasts Baumier.
The B01 will be available in three configurations, the Hors-Catégorie, Lifetime and Timeless, with each receiving a dedicated build kit, along with Baumier’s house-made wheels, providing riders with a complete bike built from start to finish in the brand’s Montréal headquarters.
Baumier recently launched high-end wheels in both the road and gravel segments, making the B01 a natural extension for the brand, which relies on the same dry carbon fiber, bio-based resin injected fabrication technique, allowing the builders full control over the highly sustainable manufacturing processes that uses Braided RFC (resin transfer molding) carbon and wax mandrels for the lay-up.
Additionally, seamless 3D-printed titanium lugs are utilized at each junction, with variable wall thickness to in order to tune the frame’s ride characteristics, promising a lively, responsive ride.
“We aren’t claiming to reinvent the bicycle, but rather to rethink our relationship with manufacturing, performance, and time. At Baumier, true performance is the kind that lasts, that respects, that connects,” says founder, Benjamin du Hays.
