Bianchi’s updated Infinito is ready for both the tarmac and gravel, featuring enough clearance to accommodate tires up to a beefy 40mm, while the Italian brand’s Countervail vibration-cancelling technology and revamped seatpost not only bolster compliance, but bring the weight down by a claimed 20%.
“We’re proud to announce the launch of the new Infinito. A bold re-imagining of the platform that expands our all-rounder offer and empowers riders to ride further and for longer. This is also a new chapter in the story of Countervail, with an entirely new formulation which reduces vibration more effectively, while also being lighter than ever before. It is deployed for the first time across the entire Infinito platform, including the frame, fork and seatpost. The promise is simple: Less vibration for unlimited cycling,” says Bianchi.
Bianch was also keen the tweak the Infinito’s geometry, adding more stack height for a less aggressive position, as well as longer chainstays for extra stability, while the frame and fork were developed as an integrated system, resulting in a claimed 12-watt improvement in the Infinito’s aerodynamic signature.
Storage was also an important consideration when developing the new Infinito, which features a built-in compartment in the downtube, a trend that has become de rigueur with the all-road segment.
The Infinito is being offered in a special Launch Edition, featuring a striking purple-fade paint scheme that’s limited to just 200 bikes, which can come fitted with either a Shimano Ultegra Di2 or an SRAM Force XPLR 1×13 AXS groupset for 7.790 €.
Additionally, the Infinito is available in two other build options: the Pro that comes equipped with either a SRAM Force or Rival groupset, or with a Shimano 105 Di2 or Ultegra Di2 drivetrain, starting from €4,950.
Plus, there’s the basic Infinito that sports either a mechanical Shimano 105 or Di2 set-up, starting at €2,790.
Coinciding with the launch of the Infinito, are two new wheelsets from Bianchi, dubbed the RC 49R and the B 49R.
The RC 49R carbon wheels are being introduced alongside the Infinito Pro, which feature a 49mm rim depth with an internal width of 25mm, as well as the B 49R that shares the same depth and internal width as the RC 49R, but trades straight-pull for J-bend spokes and weighs at weighs in at 1,575 grmas, a 135 gram increase over its counterpart.
