Canyon is debuting its own gravel wheelset under the moniker GR30 CF, which can be purchased as a standalone pair, or in conjunction with its Grizl gravel bike, with the promise of more models to follow.
“This is a new chapter in the Canyon story. We’re entering the wheel market with decades of cycling know-how and expertise distilled into a trusted performance product that works in perfect harmony with our bikes. The first entry in the lineup is the GR 30 CF, weight 715 g (incl. rim tape) for the front and 810 g (incl. rim tape and with Microspline freewheel) for the rear (1525 g for the pair). Designed specifically for our 2025 Grizl gravel bikes, these wheels combine low weight, a progressive wide rim design, and ever-dependable reliability. The carbon fiber rim boosts aerodynamics and ensures cross wind stability, while the hookless rim width is the ideal interface for wide, tubeless gravel tires up to 54mm, run at low pressures for comfort, speed and grip,” boasts Canyon’s senior product manager, Maxime Brunand.
As its name denotes, the GR30 CF features a 30mm rim depth, along with a 27mm internal and 33mm external width, while things spin on DT Swiss 350 Spline hubs laced with its Aerocomp straight-pull spokes, tipping the scales at a respectable 1,525.
Available with either a Shimano Microspline or Sram XD-R freehub body, the GR30 CF wheelset sells for 899,95 €, which also comes specced on Canyon’s Grizl OG CF 8 Di2 and Grizl CF 9 Escape gravel bikes.
