Castelli’s popular Espresso jersey and bib shorts get “revised & refined”, aptly dubbing them the Espresso 2.0, which once again features the Italian brand’s Espresso Doppio and Air_O Stretch fabrics, along with its Progetto X2 Air Seamless chamois pad.
“When we set out to make the original Espresso Jersey, we wanted to create the jersey that you’d always reach for, no matter if you normally wear an aero race-fit jersey or a more regular-cut jersey. We developed a fabric that would allow for a close-to-body fit without being constrictive or feeling tight. Our proprietary Air_O fabric also offers great breathability and moisture management and, amazingly, tests well in the wind tunnel. With innovation in our DNA and a healthy obsession for details, we set about perfecting our favorite jersey,” says Castelli.
So what’s different?
In the case of the jerseys, updates to the Espresso 2.0 include an improved pocket structure, giving added support and compression while reducing pocket sag, as well as a new finish to the edge.
Additionally, the women’s jersey has been treated to a slightly longer back for better coverage.
Regarding the bib shorts, the both versions see a slightly taller waistline, as well as stretchier, softer bib straps.
However, perhaps, the biggest update to the collection comes by way of a palette of striking new colorways that span Mango Mojito, Purple Mist, Winter Sky, Rosa Giro, Black, Belgian Blue, Ultraviolet, Silver Moon, Clay, Smoky Gray, Black, Vivid Orange, Paprika, Ivory, Neon Cobalt and Deep Mocha for the jerseys, complimented by the same resplendent colors for the bib shorts, plus Dark Gray, Black, Elmwood, Deep Bordeaux, Ultraviolet and Clay.
The available in both short and longe sleeve versions, the Espresso 2.0 jersey sells for $160.00 and $170.00, respectively, while the bib shorts fetch $200.00.
