Now that the urban cycling culture has become inundated with hipsters of every denomination, designers have been keen to come up with unusual forms of bike gear that present a twist on convention.
With that in mind, we can’t think of a helmet that better captures the zeitgeist of the neo-urban cyclist than the Closca Fuga collapsible bike helmet.
Winner of a prestigious RedDot Design Award, the minimalist Fuga is made from reinforced fiberglass, which comprises three concentrically arranged molded foam sections, that when collapsed, brings the helmet down to a one-piece flat disk that measures a mere 2.36 inches in depth.

When we designed our bike helmet with our creative partner CuldeSac we thought of those who choose bicycle as their transportation alternative and do not want to compromise their style. Wearing a helmet when riding to work through the city and looking stylish became our opportunity to create a new product that would transform this safety element into a fashion accessory.
