Colnago unveiled its latest gravel bike at the recent Rouleur Classic called the G3X, telling disciples of the vaunted Italian brand “if you like having fun on dirt roads, this is the right bike for you!”
While details are still scant, according to Colnago, the G3X shares the same geometry as its predecessor, the Prestige, albeit with longer chainstays, a lower bottom bracket height and a longer fork, resulting in a shorter reach and increased stability for gravel grinding duties. Moreover, with these changes in geometry, comes greater clearance that can now accommodate tires up to a whopping 42mm.
Other interesting features that highlight the G3X, are a rubberized bottom bracket cover for added protection that also provides provisions for a third bottle cage when needed and an integrated seatpost binder for ease of adjustment.
The new G3X comes equipped with Shimano’s latest gravel specific GRX groupset, along 160mm hydraulic disc brakes all around.
