Crono has introduced its latest cycling shoe called the CG1, treating enthusiasts who prefer the road less traveled to a new set of kicks that feature a rugged upper that’s designed to withstand the elements, along with a lugged sole with a TPU reinforced heel cup.
However, the most standout aspect of the CG1, is the adoption of a lace enclosure, allowing cyclists to go from pedaling to perambulating when their ride ends.
“The CG1 was born from the combination of characteristics of the road and offroad series. The structure is based on an external upper in high quality and breathable microfiber, reinforced on the inside with a polyester mesh. Holes made with laser cutting have been recreated to allow the foot to remain adequately ventilated even in situations of extreme heat. In the Gravel world, contact with the ground is much more frequent, which is why the CG1 is equipped with a TPU reinforcement located at the rear near the heel. It is thermoplastic polyurethane, a solution also designed to avoid wear in this area. A reinforcement has also been designed on the front section, in fact the tip has an insert made of abrasion resistant material. Being the modern cyclist very attentive to style, the CG1 adopts a lace closure system, thus giving the possibility to switch from pedaling to the bar without going to change at home. A system that guarantees excellent fit customization. In addition, a comfortable system has been designed with a containing elastic to stop the laces.” says Crono.
Offered in black only with sets of laces in yellow, red and black, the CG1 is available in sizes ranging from 37 to 48, with half-sizes in 41 to 45, for 179 €.
