CushCore’s New Rotary Tire Tool Offers “Fast and Reliable Changes

Changing tubeless tires can often be the bane of every bike mechanic’s existence, especially if it involves inserts. However, CushCore’s new professional-grade Rotary Tire Tool aims to simply the process by “gliding tires and inserts onto wheels with ease”.

“At CushCore, we’ve built our company on the foundation of solving problems. We noticed a gap in the market when it came to tire and insert installation tools – our Bead Dropper and Bead Bro work great, but professional-grade tire installation tools that are commonplace in other industries are lacking in a cycling application. That’s where the new Rotary Tire Tool comes in. Whether you’re a passionate home mechanic, swapping tires for race teams, or working all day at a bike shop, the Rotary Tire Tool is here to make quick work of even the most difficult tire installations,” boasts the American brand.

How?

The tool offers both install and removal functions, relying on a rod with a threaded end that feeds through the wheel’s hub and is secured with what CushCore calls a “Quicknut Hub Lock”.

From there, the Quicknut Hub Lock is secured to a bar that pivots around the wheel via a “Durable Aluminium Tool Head” and a “Polyurethane Bead Dropping Wheel”. In addition, the tool can be adjusted to accommodate 24 to 29-inch wheels, as well as thru-axle diameters between 12 and 20mm and hub widths between 100 and 197mm, while an ergonomic lock-on grip fitted to the handle ensures excellent control.

The Rotary Tire Tool sells for $299.99, with availability starting in early May.
