There’s a cycling event planned to honor the late British rock star David Bowie next month, aptly titled Ride With Bowie.
To honor the one-year passing of Bowie, iBikeLondon has organized a ride through the streets of London which will take cyclists along a 25 kilometer route starting outside of the British Film Institute to Windrush Square, Brixton, a few hundred yards from Bowie’s birthplace on Stansfield Road.
Of course, no ride celebrating the life of Bowie would be complete without music, which iBikeLondon says there’ll be plenty of.
Are you Ziggy Stardust, Aladdin Sane, The Thin White Duke… a dapper gent or a stylish freak? Dress up in your favourite David Bowie inspired outfit and we’ll keep the buzz going with music booming from our infamous fleet of disco bikes! We’ll be kicking off at 6.30pm at our usual meeting point outside the BFI to get rolling at 7.00pm. The ride will be at a relaxed pace and all abilities are welcome! Dress warm and don’t forget your lights. See you there!
