DMT Debuts New WKR1 Winter Road Shoe

As the mercury continues to plummet in regions across the world, there are plenty of die-hard cyclists who still prefer riding outdoors instead of retreating to the monotony of indoor cycling.

At last, DMT has debuted a bonafide winter road shoe called the WKR1 that’s capable of facing the rigors of cold weather cycling, whether it’s in the Trentino-Alto Adige region of Italy or New England.

The WKR1 features a sophisticated construction that’s aimed at keeping the rider’s feet warm and dry thanks to a lightweight knit material which has been treated with a waterproof and breathable DWR coating, while retention is handled via DMT’s BOA Fit System.

“Incredibly warm lightweight winter Knit road shoe. Double layer construction that insulates while keeping your feet dry and comfortable. Our unique construction offers winter riding protection with lighter weight and lower volume,” boasts DMT.

Other features that punctuate the WKR1 are a water resistant zipper, sealed seams, elastic ankle cuff with silicone grip, 360° reflective accents and a stiff nylon composite outsole for excellent power transfer.

The WKR1 sells for $299, which is available in a range of sizes from 38 to 47.
