Happy birthday to Ezio Cecchi, who was born on this day in 1913, and died on August 19, 1984.
The Italian rider is best remembered for standing on the podium of the Giro d’Italia twice in his career.
Indeed, Cecchi was 2nd in the 1938 Giro d’Italia behind Giovanni Valetti of Italy, and 2nd in the 1948 Giro d’Italia behind Fiorenzo Magni of Italy.
