Fizik has launched its latest road shoe called the Vento Powerstrap R2 Aeroweave, touting lightweight, stiffness and ventilation as its hallmark of achievements.
The Vento Powerstrap R2 Aeroweave (say that fast 10 times), features an all-new full UD carbon sole that Fizik is calling its most rigid to date with a claimed stiffness index of 10/10, along with a replaceable heel block and copious amounts of ventilation thanks to deep internal channels along the sole.
Ventilation is further enhanced courtesy of Fizik’s new Aeroweave upper that comprises opposing nylon fibers and thermoplastic filaments to create a solid structure for support, while also allowing virtually unrestricted airflow.
By eliminating a BOA or ratchet style closure system in favor of old-school velcro straps, Fizik succeeded in dropping the weight of the Vento Powerstrap R2 Aeroweave to a feathery 205g per shoe in a size 42.5.
The new Vento Powerstrap R2 Aeroweave sells for 350€, and is available in black only with sizes ranging from 37 to 48.
For those who might fall in-between sizes, the shoe is also available in half sizes from 37.5 to 46.5.
