Fizik has unveiled the latest model to its range of road shoes called the Vento Stabilita Carbon, which features a highly adjustable plantar support system that the Italian brand calls Dynamic Arch Support 2.0.
At the center of the system is a wide, adjustable strap that emerges from the inside of the sole and wraps over the inside of the midfoot, which Fizik says is designed to increase support for the foot’s medial arch that in turn leads to a more efficient transfer of power.
Further adjustability is provided via two BOA Li2 dials, one to adjust the instep, while the other is for dialing in the volume/width of the forefoot.
Ergonomically speaking, Fizik also points out how they decided to reposition the cleat holes further back this time, expressing the belief that having the cleats further back offers a number of performance and fit advantages.
“Our new cleat positioning optimizes pedaling efficiency and reduce knee compression, as well as being especially suited to very aggressive, forward aero positions,” claims Fizik.
The new Fizik Vento Stabilita Carbon is available in sizes ranging from 36 to 48, with half sizes between 37 and 47.
Pricing for the US market is to be announced.
