The Hover X1 is the latest addition to ZeroZero Robotics’ Hover series, offering drone camera capabilities in a lightweight device that can be held in the palm of your hand.
With its propellers fully enclosed via safety guards, the Hover X1 is designed to take off from and land in the user’s hand, featuring a foldable design that tips the scales at a scant 125 grams.
While the camera specs are pretty basic, the Hover X1 is ideal for capturing hands-free 12MP photos and 2.7K/30fps videos, along with a Burst Mode that ensures the user won’t miss out on the perfect shot.
Additionally, the Hover X1 features ZeroZero’s triple stabilization hybrid anti-shake technology, a combination of mechanical (pitch axis) and electronic (EIS) stabilization, as well as horizon leveling that works across the following flight modes:
According to ZeroZero, users can customize whether they want to take photos or video clips, as well as adjust the height, distance and angle of the shots courtesy of the Hover X1 app. Also, the app not only offers remote control of the drone through virtual buttons, but also provides a live preview feature for a more immersive shooting experience where users can also adjust the composition and angles in real-time. Moreover, the single battery provides a flight time of up to 11 minutes, along with the option of adding an additional battery for extended flights.
Lastly, the Hover X1 is safe to fly both indoors and outdoors since its propellers are not exposed, utilizing advanced Visual Inertial Odometry (VIO) technology and ToF laser altitude determination system to fly without needing to rely on GPS signals.
ZeroZero is currently selling the new Hover X1 through an Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign, with early bird prices starting at $299.
