Spring-boarding from the success of their first e-cargo bike, JUNTO has launched its latest version called the MetroMule, touting it as one of lightest and most versatile electric-assist cargo bikes on the market.
“Our original JUNTO model was built to be the most rugged e-bike on the market. We’ve taken the same passion and engineering that went into the original JUNTO design to build the most versatile cargo e-bike on the market, the MetroMule,” says JUNTO.
“With the MetroMule, you can replace your car and get where you need to go, with everything you need to take with you. The only thing you’ll leave behind is the traffic and hassle.
“The MetroMule is pound for pound the toughest cargo e-bike out there… it can carry more than you’d expect…500 lbs (including the rider) with its 3 compartment design… yet its lighter than you’d expect…compared with other cargo e-bikes on the market.”
The MetroMule features a lightweight, durable aluminum frame, Shimano DEORE shifting, a 36V, 11.6AH battery and high torque 350w Bafang motor that’s capable of traveling up to 60 miles on a charge, along with JUNTO’s Intuitive Torque Sensing Pedal Assist Technology.
“Other eBike companies use heavy, high wattage motors with inefficient direct-drive systems. These clunky, outdated systems feel muddy and slow when compared to our system. JUNTO’s torque-sensing pedal assist drive system creates a seamless connection between your pedaling and the motor’s power output. The pedal assist feels incredibleand gives you a massive amount of torque with minimal effort to make hauling your cargo and tackling hills a breeze. Dial in your perfect ride and feel the JUNTO difference. Our proprietary Torque Sensor and Motor Combination is so efficient that we are able to get the equivalent of 750w of power from a much lighter and more compact 350w motor,” explains JUNTO.
The MetroMule is available in two colors, Matte Black and Matte Yellow, and comes in JUNTO’s one-size-fits all-frame, wherein all that the rider needs to do is simply adjust the saddle and handlebars for a comfortable ride.
JUNTO has undertaken a crowd-funding campaign on Indiegogo, offering early-backers a special price of $999 for the MetroMule that you can learn more about here.
